Army & Air Force Exchange System (AAFES)

AAFES is headquartered in Dallas, TX and oversees a global organization arranged into four sales areas: Continental United States (Conus), Europe, Pacific/Hawaii/Alaska and the Cyber Region.

AAFES operates over 3,100 facilities worldwide, which include Main Exchanges (PX), Military Clothing Sales Stores (MCSS), Shoppettes, Troop Stores, Class Six (Package Beverage) Stores and Vending Centers.

Navy Exchange Command (NEXCOM)

NEXCOM is headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA and operates the worldwide Navy Exchange System (NEX).  It is comprised of four separate programs: Navy Exchange, Uniforms Program, Ships Store Program and Navy Lodging.

Marine Corps Exchange (MCX)

Coast Guard Exchange (CGX)

VA Canteen Service (VCS)

MCX, CGX and VCS have separate buying authority and are regulated by contracted buying. The MCX is headquartered in Quantico, VA while the CGX is headquartered in Chesapeake, VA.  The VCS is headquartered in St. Louis, MO.

Military consumers are offered a full retail line of quality goods with great savings year round. More than 12 million military consumers (Active duty, Retired, Dependents and authorized patrons) have shopping privileges in U.S. Military Exchanges around the world.

There are 500+ Main Military Exchanges worldwide, most of which are located outside major metropolitan areas. The Military Exchanges are divided into five retail divisions: Army and Air Force Exchange System (AAFES), Navy Exchange Command (NEXCOM), Marine Corps Exchange (MCX), Coast Guard Exchange (CGX) and the Veterans Canteen Service (VCS). Combined, these divisions gross over $14 billion in sales.  They rank among the largest retailers in the United States.
